Moranbah, Queensland – 23 September 2016
The Moranbah and District Support Services (MDSS) and the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) Connecting Communities partnership hosted Moranbah families at a recent ‘Moranbah Child Protection Event’ at the Moranbah Miners League Club.
The spectacular spring weather helped to ensure that the Moranbah community enjoyed all of the fun on offer including a side show alley, rides and a starlight screening of ‘Zootopia’.
Nadia McMillan, Treasurer of the Moranbah Rugby League Football Club, was at the movie night. “We were overwhelmed with how many came on Friday and loved local community members getting out and enjoying the evening. Thanks to Moranbah and District Support Services and the Connecting Communities Program for providing this opportunity for partnership to the Moranbah Rugby League Football Club. The event was outstanding, bringing people in the community together in such fun and festive way!”
