Moranbah residents were invited to a night of family fun on December 11 2015, as Moranbah and District Support Services (MDSS), and the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) Connected Communities Program hosted a Christmas Poolside Movie Night and Barbeque at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre.

The evening’s event was blessed with great weather and numerous community residents that took part in the community event that included a screening of the movie ‘Santa Clause’, BBQ sausages, drinks, and an open Café for popcorn and lollies.

Matthew and Janelle Vitale, of the Janelle Vitale Swim School stated, “It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the facility and see the community come together, while enjoying the pool, barbecue and movie.  We are excited to see so many community residents take part in this fantastic event.”

“The Christmas Poolside Movie Event was a delightfully different location that provided a family friendly venue where community residents could swim, watch a movie and have a barbeque with friends,” said Stacey Mackey.

Moranbah and District Support Services and the Connecting Communities Program would like to acknowledge and thank their major sponsors BHP Billiton Mitsubishis Alliance (BMA), the Isaac Regional Council and the Janelle Vitale Swim School for their generous contributions to making this event a reality.
