Oasis Youth Movie Night and Barbeque
Moranbah, Queensland – February 22, 2016

The Moranbah community recently enjoyed the first Movie and BBQ night for 2016.

Hosted by Oasis Youth, families enjoyed a BBQ dinner, face painting, balloon making, a jumping castle and local musical entertainment before settling in to watch ‘Inside Out’ under the stars.

Jade Tanzil, of the Oasis Youth Group stated, “It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our youth group and see the community come together to enjoy great musical entertainment, fun activities, a barbecue and a movie.  We were excited to see so many community residents take part in this fantastic event.  This event provided over $1,500 in funding for our Youth Group programs that services over thirty youth each week.”

“The Oasis Youth Movie Night and Barbeque Event was a delightful location that provided a family friendly event where community residents could enjoy the evening weather, enjoy a cold ice cream, participate in the barbeque and share movie with friends,” said Sharon Smith.

This is the first of ten Movie and BBQ for 2016. Moranbah families are invited to come along to the Moranbah Town Square Park the third Friday of each month (February to November) to support local groups and clubs whilst enjoying a family night out.

Oasis Youth would like to acknowledge and thank Moranbah and District Support Services and the Connecting Communities Program for assisting in the coordination of the evenings event and acknowledge and thank their major sponsors BHP Billiton Mitsubishis Alliance (BMA) and the Isaac Regional Council for their generous contributions to making this event a reality.
